When will my order ship? All of my items are handmade to order, just for YOU, and most are ready to ship 3-5 business days after purchase.

How does my order ship?

DOMESTIC SHIPPING:

All domestic orders come with delivery confirmation and insurance. Please check your email for a tracking alert, when your order has shipped!!

-Domestic orders ship USPS Priority Mail (about 2-4 days* transit time.)
*Transit times are estimates, not a guarantee; only Express Mail delivery dates are guaranteed.

Insurance is now included on all domestic shipments!! Please note: claims for lost, damaged, or stolen mail valued under $100, must be filed directly with USPS.
Insurance claims for missing mail may be filed 21 days after shipping.

Please double check that your ‘ship to’ address is correct and that it is a safe and secure location. If you find that your address is incorrect on the receipt, please notify me asap.

Express Mail shipping upgrade (overnight or two-day) is available to many US destinations for an additional $13.00-$15.00. A signature is required to deliver; insurance is included. Production time still applies.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

International orders are shipped USPS First Class Mail, and shipping is available to almost any country!! Please note, international orders may be subject to taxes and duties upon arrival, depending on their destination. These fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Delivery confirmation is now available to a select number of countries!! Shipments to countries where tracking is not available will receive a standard Customs Declaration notice.

Delivery time is typically about 6-10 business* days. (*This is an estimate, not a guarantee; only Express Mail delivery dates are guaranteed.) Delivery may vary widely by country due to customs delays. Please be aware of this before purchasing. If you would like to upgrade your order to a faster Int’l shipping, please message me before ordering for a quote. (It is usually around $40.00 Canada; $50.00 everywhere else). Insurance is now included with all Int’l shipments!! Insurance claims for missing mail may be filed 45 days after shipping.

What type of payments do you accept? All major credit cards are accepted via PayPal. (You do not need to have a PayPal account in order to check out.) You may also checkout directly with any major credit card (no PayPal required) by visiting my Etsy Shop.

What is your cancellation policy? Once a personal message has been sent to you (at the email address provided), confirming your order, your order cannot be cancelled. At that point, fabrics and materials specific to your order may have been purchased, and scheduling arrangements have been made. In some such circumstances, I may be able to offer a partial refund, depending on the amount of work done.
If you message me asking to cancel an order before I have sent any communications, I can almost always accommodate you.

What is your return policy? I hope that you will absolutely LOVE your item, but I have some guidelines in place, that will allow me to do my BEST work for you and also keep my price points as low as possible:

RETURNS:
Because I make each and every item by hand and usually purchase fabrics/components to order, I cannot accept returns.

EXCHANGES:
Exchanges may be considered on an individual basis. If you would like me to consider your situation, please notify me within 3 days of receipt of your order. (Worn, used or custom made items will not be considered.)

Exchanges for another color or a different size will sometimes be possible. Just be sure to message me right away. If an exchange is granted, it may take up to two weeks to ship, since often I will have to re-order fabrics/components. Buyer is responsible for the shipping back to me (please use tracking!), and I am usually able to cover the exchange shipping back to you.

What if I need a custom size? Many of Mademoiselle Mermaid’s items can be custom made to your size specifications. At checkout, you can include any necessary measurements in the message to the seller section of your order, or please send an email if you would like to discuss fit before or after ordering!

Will I get an order confirmation? You will receive an PayPal confirmation when your payment is processed, and you will also receive a personal confirmation from Mademoiselle Mermaid within 24 hrs of placing an order.
